The 1st National Ijtema of Lajna Imaila Tuvalu

???????????????????????????????It was an historical event  ever in Tuvalu that the 1st  National Ijtema was held by Lajna Imaila on 22nd November, 2014 at Ahmadiyya Muslim Mosque in Funafuti, the capital of Tuvalu. The Ijtema was attended by more than 20 participants. It was one day Ijtema whereas it was started at 09.00 am and finished at 04.00 pm. What was special with the Ijtema that It was attended by two Chief Guests. They were Bishop of Catholic inTuvalu, Fr. Raynaldo Getalado  and the President of Women of Nanumea Community, Mrs. Figele Tipelu who is the wife of the Commisioner Police of Tuvalu as well.

Ahmadiyya Preaches on the National Radio of Tuvalu

Screenshot_2014-11-05-11-13-23-1By Allah’s grace, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Tuvalu has been spreading the peaceful teaching of Islam by medium of National Radio for 5 years. Month of October 2014 was the 5th year preaching  of  the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community  on the  National Radio of Tuvalu. The preaching was started in 2009. Ahmadiyya was officially given time slot to explain about Islam once a week every Monday night. Actually It was on Friday night but the schedule was shifted to Monday night later on. The duration of the program is about 30-40 minutes. We are so grateful for this golden opportunity.

Tuvalu : Eidul Adha and 1st Meeting of Majlis Amla Khuddam

wpid-collage_20141005163754538_20141005164146192.jpgTuvaluan Ahmadis have celebrated Eidul Adha on 5th October, 2014. The celebration was begun with Eid prayer at 08.00 am at Tuvalu Mosque. The Imam of Tuvalu Mosque,Mr. Muhammad Idrees led the Eid prayer and delivered Eid Sermon. He has explained about the great sacrifice of Hadhrat Abraham and Hadhrat Ishmael. He encouraged all ahmadis to dedicate their lives and all possible means to serve Allah and being able to be the true servant of Allah the Almighty as Hadhrat Abraham and Hadhrat Ishmael have given the great exemplar which was commemorated by all Muslims in the whole world every year. We must always be ready to sacrifice our wealth, times, capabilities, even our lives for the sake of Allah, he exhorted. That is the essence of the celebration today that it must be fully understood by all Muslims. There is no such celebration in Islam which is without deep meanings and significances.

The First Peace Symposium in Tuvalu

PS1_20140907232613107Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Tuvalu has organised the first Peace Symposium in Tuvalu. It was held on Sunday, 7th September, 2014 at Tuvalu Mosque. The Peace Symposium was attended by the distinguished guests  from different backgrounds, religions and denominations in Tuvalu such as from Bahai faith, EKT (Christian Church of Tuvalu), Mormon Church, Assembly of God Church, Catholic Church, Government Officers and the representatives of Chinese Community in Tuvalu . The attendees of Peace Symposium were about 50 peoples.
