The Holy Quran was translated into Tuvaluan

By the Grace of Allah, the Holy Quran was also translated into Tuvaluan. People of Tuvalu Islands, one of a tiny country in South Pacific use this language as their local language despite their national language is English. When Dr. Iftikhar Ayyaz was in Tuvalu, he initiated to make the program translating the Holy Quran into Tuvaluan. The Holy Quran was translated completely in 1990 by the precious help of some local people as well. It was published also by Islam International Publications in 1990. The rendering of the translation has been done by Mr. Pulekai Sogivalu, Chairman Tuvalu Language Board and was revised by Mr. Waleed Katalake, member of Tuvalu Languge Board. The translation is based on the English translation by Hazrat Maulvi Sher Ali.

The Holy Quran was translated into Tuvaluan

Promoting the true teachings of Islam is the main mission of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Therefore the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has established its missions in more than 200 countries in the world. One of its missions is to translate the Holy Quran into several languages so that people of different places in the world might easily understand it. The Holy Quran was completely translated into 50 languges and the selected verses of the Holy Quran also was translated into 114 languges. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has done a remarkable job by translating the Holy Quran into Tuvaluan. It is so helpful for the people of Tuvalu to study more about the teachings of Islam from its direct source, the Holy Quran. Thus it became an essential means to get people of Tuvalu understood towards the true teachings of Islam. We hope that better understandings might be obtained and impediments might be removed.
